SlenderSite Generator

SlenderSite is a static site generator without the bureaucracy. Especially:

No front matter in the source files; metadata can be added in config.
Can use any markup language with a command line tool, or none at all.
Doesn’t need any configuration to get started, only your writing.

Other features:

Support for pages and posts, in that order
Flat directory structure with relative links
Automatic navigation menu
Per-page templates if so desired

Limitations:

Simplistic template engine
No handling of stylesheets or images

A usable starter template is built in and can be used as a basis for more.
